OnPoint Awarded Information Assurance Tasks with Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health

ARLINGTON, VA – February, 2007 - OnPoint Consulting Inc. (OnPoint), Inc. has been awarded two Information Assurance (IA) task orders with the Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge Operations (ORO) Office, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Library of Medicine (NLM).

The DOE ORO task is to conduct a Cyber Security Assessment at ORO’s Oak Ridge, Tennessee facility. The assessment includes a Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and a detailed Vulnerability Assessment.

The NIH NLM task is to conduct internal and external Penetration Testing to identify and document potential vulnerabilities of the NLM network and to evaluate threats the network may be exposed to.

Both of these task order awards are examples of OnPoint’s continued growth in the IA field, and the need for federal agencies to have their IT systems tested against cyber threats. In addition, both DOE ORO and NIH NLM are new OnPoint customers.
