OnPoint Consulting, Inc. Division Achieves CMMI Maturity Level 2 Rating

ARLINGTON, VA – August 6, 2008 – OnPoint Consulting, Inc. (OnPoint) announced today its successful appraisal to the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI®-DEV) Maturity Level 2. The CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 2 rating is conferred on organizations that have established well-defined, repeatable, and effective organizational standards for project management, software engineering, and quality assurance, while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement.

OnPoint’s conformance with the seven process areas of CMMI Maturity Level 2 was appraised using the CMMI Standard Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) version 1.2 The SCAMPI method involves a comprehensive examination or various types of evidence demonstrating the application of consistent and standard business and project processes. In addition to a thorough review of project artifacts, evidence is gathered through interviews with program leaders, quality assurance and configuration management personnel, and organization and project practitioners. Entinex, an SEI-approved partner, conducted OnPoint’s evaluation.
